Application Process
How to Apply & Use WIC:
Apply through Georgia Gateway (the state's benefits platform) or by calling your local WIC clinic or health department. You will then schedule an appointment for your health and eligibility check.
Once approved, you get an eWIC card, and benefits are loaded monthly. You can check your balance online, by calling customer service, or at authorized stores.
The program allows up to three months of benefits to be loaded at once. Days not used by the end of that month do not carry over.
Description
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is a free Georgia program that helps families with young children. It provides healthy foods like milk, cereal, eggs, fresh produce, peanut butter, and infant formula through an easy eWIC card. You can also use it at some farmers markets in summer. The program offers nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to doctors, dental care, and other services.
