Who Qualifies

To get the vouchers:

  • Be a Georgia resident

  • Be 60 years old or older, OR

  • Be 55 to 59 years old, be disabled, and live in a housing facility mostly for older people that offers group meals

  • Have a household income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (this changes each year and your local office will check it for you)

Application Process

Go to your local Area Agency on Aging. Vouchers are provided at a first come first served process.

Description

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program help eligible seniors get fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs at no cost. They provide vouchers that cover about $20-$50 worth of food at participating farmers markets. The vouchers are given out May 1st to October 15th of each year.
