Who Qualifies

The Georgia Plant 2 Plate program is for households who receive SNAP benefits (food stamps). Only people or families who currently get SNAP/EBT benefits can take part in the program.

Application Process

When the program holds an event (often at farmers markets or community gardens in Georgia), participants with SNAP can use their EBT card to buy plant starts (young plants) and seedlings at 50% off the regular price.

Led by Wholesome Wave Georgia and Food Well Alliance, Plant 2 Plate provides households on SNAP with 50% off local fruit and vegetable plant purchases when using EBT card – plus free gardening kits – to grow fresh food at home.
