Application Process
Create or Sign Into Your Kroger Account here or open the Kroger app.
If you don’t have an account, enter your name, email, and a password.
Add Your EBT Card
In your Kroger account, go to Account Settings. Find Payment Methods or Add Payment Method.
Enter your EBT/SNAP card number and expiration date.
Note: Kroger will use this card only for eligible SNAP grocery purchases.
Start Shopping Online
Search for groceries like fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, bread, etc.
As you add items to your cart, Kroger will track what is SNAP-eligible.
SNAP EBT can only pay for eligible food items (no hot prepared foods).
Choose Pickup or Delivery
On the cart or checkout screen, select: pickup or delivery. Confirm your chosen store or delivery ZIP code.
Apply Your EBT Card at Checkout
At checkout, choose your EBT/SNAP card as a payment method for eligible food items.
Kroger will automatically charge eligible food to EBT.
If your order includes non-eligible items (e.g., paper products, delivery fees, tips), Kroger will ask for an additional payment method (debit/credit) to cover those costs.
