The Fragile First Foundation is a nonprofit group linked to Capstone Hospice. It helps people and families who need money for things that Medicare and Medicaid do not pay for when someone is getting hospice care. You do not have to be a Capstone Hospice patient to get help. A hospice social worker decides who needs help the most. The foundation can help with things like:

  • Costs for burial or cremation

  • Rides to appointments (non-emergency)

  • Travel costs for family to go to a funeral

  • Help paying bills like utilities

  • Paying for a caregiver (up to $500)

  • Helping make a “Bucket-List” last wish come true

  • Paying for grief counseling

  • Helping buy medical supplies or equipment not paid for by hospice

  • And other needs that Medicare/Medicaid don’t cover
